Magnetic Field Detector

The detector reads the magnetometer’s X, Y, and Z components and displays the combined field strength in µT (microtesla). Normal, Medium, and High ranges help you observe relative change.

Steps

1. Select Magnetic Field on Home.
2. Observe a baseline away from metal and electrical equipment.
3. Move slowly toward the object while keeping phone orientation and distance changes controlled.
4. Compare the total strength and three-axis readings.

Magnets, MagSafe accessories, speakers, motors, chargers, wires, and metal structures can change the result. Readings from different iPhone models, orientations, or calibration states are not directly comparable as a universal standard.
